Arkansas Tech University’s Dr. Nicolas del Grazia, Dr. Phoebe Robertson and Dr. Timothy Smith will perform a faculty recital at Witherspoon Auditorium on Monday, Feb. 13.
The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission will be free and open to the public.
The program includes pieces composed by Elliott Carter, Valerie Coleman, Guillaume Connesson, Franz Danzi, Claude Debussy and Florent Schmitt.
A clarinetist and associate professor of music, del Grazia has been a member of the ATU faculty since 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from City University London, a Master of Music degree from the University of London and a Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University.
Robertson joined the ATU faculty in 2022 and is assistant professor of music. She is a flutist with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music.
Smith is professor of music at ATU and a pianist. He has served at Arkansas Tech since 1998. Smith earned a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College and Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees from Indiana University.
Dr. Mary J. Trotter, ATU assistant professor of music, will join the performance as a narrator on Coleman’s “Portraits of Langston.”
