Arkansas Tech University will welcome parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members of its students to its Russellville campus on Saturday, September 16 for Family Day.
Family Day is one of the oldest and most popular traditions at Arkansas Tech. The event, which was originally known as Dad’s Day, has been part of the annual calendar at Arkansas Tech since 1924.
Family Day festivities include:
Jazz Brunch
- 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- Chambers Dining Hall
- Enjoy a Creole-inspired brunch with performances by the Tech Musical Theater and Tech Jazz Ensemble
Barnes and Noble Arkansas Tech – Bookstore
- 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Young Building
- Grab your Arkansas Tech Gear
Arkansas Tech Museum
- 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Techionery Building
- Learn about the History of ATU

Wonder Boys Football Pre-Game Tailgate
- 3-6 p.m.
- Centennial Plaza
- Enjoy a picnic-style buffet. The first 400 guests will be able to enjoy a free tailgate meal and free football tickets. The tent to claim tickets will be outside of Thone Stadium.
Wonder Boys Football Game
- Arkansas Tech versus Oklahoma Baptist University
- 6 p.m.
- Thone Stadium
- Help support the Wonder Boys in a Great American Conference match.
