The Arkansas Tech University Office of Financial Aid announced Tuesday, Feb. 28, that it will soon begin packaging aid for summer 2022.
ATU students will receive an e-mail award notice showing their eligibility shortly after they register for summer classes. The 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) FAFSA will be used to determine summer aid.
If a student used all of his or her 2021-2022 aid in fall 2021 and spring 2022, that student may still be eligible for summer aid. Contact the ATU Office of Financial Aid at (479) 968-0399 or fa.help@atu.edu to inquire about summer eligibility.
Students must be enrolled in at least six hours to be eligible for student loans in the summer. Students who attended full-time in fall 2021 and spring 2022 may need to be enrolled in six hours to receive summer Pell grant as well.
Summer aid will only pay for the classes students are enrolled in as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022. No more aid will be given for classes added after this date.
Students should always check with the ATU Office of Financial Aid office if they plan to add or drop a class as this could affect their aid eligibility.
As a reminder, students must complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA to receive aid for fall 2022 and spring 2023. Students are encouraged to complete the 2022-23 FAFSA as soon as possible.
Call (479) 968-0399 or send e-mail to fa.help@atu.edu for more information about aid eligibility.
