Students will be able to meet with representatives from more than a dozen campus offices today when the Office of Student Success and Retention hosts the first Student Resource Fair at Arkansas Tech.
The fair is scheduled to run from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Room 242 of the Doc Bryan Student Services Building.
Andrea Allan, graduate assistant in the Office of Student Success and Retention, says the idea for a resource fair came about as a way to better meet the needs of Arkansas Tech students. She adds, “Our staff has discovered that students do not always have adequate time to visit several offices to get their questions answered, and this fair will give them a central location to meet with personnel in those offices.”
The following offices will have representatives on hand to meet with students during the resource fair:
- International and Multicultural Student Services
- Financial Aid
- Bridge to Excellence
- Tutoring Center
- Norman Career Services
- Academic Affairs
- University Testing & Disability Services
- Health and Wellness Center
- Counseling Center
- Residential Life
- ROTC
- Intramurals
- Student Accounts
Allan says the fair will also help students learn about some of the resources that Tech offers to help students. She adds, “This is a great opportunity for students to meet Arkansas Tech staff members that are here to help them succeed.”
