Those interested in learning more about one of the world’s oldest cultures are invited to attend a Maya Day event hosted by the Arkansas Tech University Foreign Language Lab on Friday, April 23.
There will be information about Mayan history, culture and language, as well as an opportunity to sample authentic Mayan foods. Moises Chan will serve as a guest lecturer during the presentation.
The event will take place from 3-5 p.m. in Dean Hall room 117. Registration is limited to the first 20 people that send an e-mail to Sarah Lawson, instructor of Spanish and Spanish lab coordinator, at slawson@atu.edu.
