Arkansas Tech University will preview the upcoming total solar eclipse with a variety of programs and events on Thursday, April 4.
ATU students are invited to the Hull Building Student Union at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a STEM-focused talk featuring representatives from NASA.
There will be an eclipse preview for the general public at 1 p.m. Thursday in Witherspoon Auditorium. NASA personnel will be joined by representatives from the Paris Observatory in France and the Arkansas Air National Guard to talk about the science behind the eclipse.
Following the talks, a planetarium demonstration will take place from 3-5 p.m. Thursday adjacent to the Hull Building Student Union in the Hull single gymnasium. The planetarium will be open to the general public during that time.
