Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University defeated Arkansas Tech University in Great American Conference volleyball matches this week.
The Reddies topped the Golden Suns 24-26, 25-16, 25-21, 25-13 at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday.
OBU handed ATU a 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 11-25, 15-13 setback at the Sturgis Physical Education Building in Arkadelphia on Thursday.
Arkansas Tech (15-12 overall, 7-7 GAC) will enter the final week of the regular season tied with Ouachita Baptist (12-13, 7-7) for seventh place in the GAC volleyball standings.
The University of Arkansas-Monticello (11-16, 6-8) is one match behind the Golden Suns and the Lady Tigers. Two of those three teams will advance to the GAC Tournament Nov. 21-23 in Hot Springs. One will not.
Arkansas Tech will host Harding University at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, and visit Southern Arkansas University at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, for its final two matches of the regular season.
