Arkansas Tech University’s volleyball team rolled through the 2019 University of Southern Indiana Invitational with a 4-0 record on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Suns defeated Shorter University 28-30, 25-16, 25-19, 19-25, 15-6 and Southern Indiana 25-23, 30-28, 25-19 on Friday.
Arkansas Tech completed the event by slipping past Kentucky Wesleyan University 25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-8 and dominating Kentucky State University 25-20, 25-8, 25-14 on Saturday.
The Golden Suns have now won seven consecutive matches following a 1-5 start to the season.
Arkansas Tech (8-5 overall, 1-0 Great American Conference) will play its first home match of the season when it hosts Southern Arkansas University for a 6 p.m. match at Tucker Coliseum on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Admission will be free.
