Anna Frandsen and Pia Nunbhakdi led Arkansas Tech University to a third-place finish among a field of 16 women’s golf teams at the University of Central Oklahoma RCB Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
The Golden Suns completed the 36-hole event with a team total of 613, one stroke behind runner-up Southwestern Oklahoma State University and 10 strokes behind tournament champion St. Edward’s University.
Frandsen and Nunbhakdi finished tied for sixth place in the individual standings with matching totals of 150. Frandsen shot 76-74 and Nunbhakdi posted rounds of 72-78 at The Golf Club of Edmond in Edmond, Okla.
Avery Struck (T-13th, 77-77-154), Caroline Fredensborg (T-27th, 76-83-159) and Holly Standing (T-67th, 88-83-171) also contributed to the Golden Suns’ team total.
Arkansas Tech’s Jessica Sachs (T-48th, 83-82-165) competed in the event as an individual.
The Golden Suns will participate in the Dallas Baptist University Invitational Oct. 10-11.
