Arkansas Tech picked up a pair of Great American Conference road volleyball victories during the final weekend in September.
The Golden Suns defeated Southeastern Oklahoma State 25-13, 25-23, 25-21 in Durant, Okla., on Friday. Sara Motsinger notched 17 kills and Carly Florian had 14 kills for Arkansas Tech.
Arkansas Tech made it a perfect trip to Oklahoma by beating East Central University 25-18, 25-15, 19-25, 25-19 in Ada on Saturday. Florian and Brittany Ryan made 11 kills apiece. Ryan and Motsinger added eight blocks apiece.
The Golden Suns (13-5 overall, 5-1 GAC) will host Philander Smith at 3 p.m. and Williams Baptist at 7 p.m. in non-conference action at Tucker Coliseum today (Monday, Oct. 1). Admission will be free.
