Arkansas Tech University dropped all four of its softball games during a road trip to the Lone Star State Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Suns fell to Rogers State University 6-3 and Texas A&M University-Commerce 5-1 on Friday. Texas Woman’s University defeated Arkansas Tech 10-7 and the University of Texas-Tyler topped the Suns 17-15 on Saturday.
Friday’s games were played in Commerce, while the second leg of the trip took place in Tyler.
Arkansas Tech’s top hitters through eight games include Makenzie Goins (.423 batting average, one home run, six runs batted), Brooke Prewitt (.385, two home runs, 13 RBIs), Paty Loredo (.346, three home runs, nine RBIs) and Makenzie Addis (.333, three home runs, seven RBIs).
The Golden Suns (3-5) will play four non-conference games during a classic in Bentonville on Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15.
Arkansas Tech will face Northwest Missouri State University at 2 p.m. Friday, the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 4 p.m. Friday, Washburn University at 10 a.m. Saturday and Upper Iowa University at noon Saturday.
