Tech second baseman Jalissa Gum made the one-run lead stand up in the bottom of the seventh when she threw out SWOSU pinch runner Kylee Morgan at home plate to end the game. Golden Suns starting pitcher Victoria Huie (6-7) limited the Bulldogs to one run on five hits over seven innings. Game Two: SWOSU 4, Arkansas Tech 1 Southwestern Oklahoma State pitcher Molly Vivo tossed a one-hitter to lead the Bulldogs to a 4-1 victory over Arkansas Tech in Friday’s nightcap. Vivo (2-5) worked around seven walks to limit the Golden Suns to one run over seven innings. Game Three: Arkansas Tech 4, SWOSU 3 Shanna Davidson’s three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning made the difference for Arkansas Tech in a 4-3 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday. Huie (7-7) started in the circle for Tech and scattered 10 hits over seven innings of work to earn her second victory of the series. Game Four: Arkansas Tech 3, SWOSU 1 Courtney Colunga delivered a two-run single in the first inning that provided Arkansas Tech starting pitcher Sydnee Clark with all the support she would need in a 3-1 Golden Suns’ victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State in the series finale on Saturday. Clark (7-7) held the Bulldogs to one run on eight hits while pitching a complete game. Ashley Savage provided Tech with an insurance run on her RBI double in the top of the seventh inning.]]>
