Groundbreaking for New ATU Ag Building August 15

Arkansas Tech University will host a groundbreaking event for the Farm Credit Agriculture Building on Thursday, Aug. 15.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Arkansas Tech Farm, adjacent to the ATU Greenhouses and the Dr. James “Jim” Collins Agriculture Classroom. The public is invited to attend.

Scheduled speakers include Len Cotton, chairman of the ATU Board of Trustees; Dr. Russell Jones, ATU president; Dr. Michael Bradley, head of the ATU Department of Agriculture and Tourism; and Emily Woodall, chair of the ATU agriculture program advisory board.

The Farm Credit Agriculture Building will house welding equipment, a tool storage area, classroom space, laboratory space and other equipment.
