United Way’s 6th annual Stuff the Bus will take place July 23-24. The event helps get area children better prepared for the upcoming school year by providing them with needed supplies such as paper, pencils, crayons and notebooks.
Supplies will be collected at all Walmart locations in Alma, Booneville, Fort Smith, Greenwood, Ozark, Paris, Sallisaw (Friday only) and Van Buren.
A bus will be parked at the Ozark Walmart from 9 am- 4 pm on Friday and from 8 am- 12 pm on Saturday. All supplies collected at the Ozark drop-off will be delivered to the Ozark Public Schools and to the Career Pathways Initiative Program at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus.
Please do your part and drop off supplies at your area Walmart. In 2009, more than 34,000 packages of school supplies were distributed through local school districts to benefit area children in need.
Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus will have drop-off boxes located around the campus for employees, students and the public to donate supplies for the drive.
