Arkansas Tech University student Erik Anthony Owens died on Tuesday, Sept. 24. He was 55.
Owens, a U.S. Air Force veteran who lived in Van Buren, was an online student in the ATU emergency management and homeland security program. He was integral in connecting his fellow Arkansas Tech students with volunteer opportunities in Wynne through Team Rubicon following the March 31, 2023, tornado.
A private burial will be held at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
