Arkansas Tech University and the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting the eighth annual Paint the Town Green and Gold community spirit contest.
Businesses and organizations participating in Paint the Town Green and Gold will decorate the interior and/or exterior of their places of business in Arkansas Tech themes during the week of Aug. 14-18 in advance of ATU residence hall move-in day on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Deadline to enter the competition is Friday, Aug. 11, at 5 p.m. Judging will take place Aug. 22. Winners will be recognized on social media and/or through local media outlets.
Prizes, including the Paint the Town Green and Gold traveling trophy, will be awarded for overall champion, best indoor display, best outdoor display, best first-time entry and Tech pride.
Business, organizations and individuals may also purchase a Paint the Town Green and Gold yard sign for display outside their place of business or home. The yard signs are $15 and may be purchased at the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce, 708 West Main Street in Russellville.
Arvest, Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Simmons Bank, Tyson and Arkansas Tech University are the 2023 sponsors of Paint the Town Green and Gold.
