The Arkansas Tech University chapter of Kappa Alpha Order earned the Samuel Zenas Ammen Award for chapter excellence in recognition of its activities during the 2022 calendar year.
The recognition is reserved for the top 10-to-15 percent of Kappa Alpha chapters in the nation.
ATU’s chapter of Kappa Alpha also garnered national awards for excellence in marketing/advertising and correspondence.
Recent evidence of ATU Kappa Alpha members’ community service included helping the American Heart Association raise more than $800,000 during the 2023 Central Arkansas Heart Ball in Little Rock. Eleven Kappa Alpha members volunteered during the event and rendered 82.5 hours of service in support of it.
