Leadership Tech was founded in 2016. The mission of the program is “to develop and enhance the leadership knowledge, skills and abilities of all individuals as well as the collective leadership capacity of the university in order to achieve unparalleled excellence in serving our students, community supporters and institutional family.”

The sixth cohort of Leadership Tech was guided through its experience by a team that included Dr. Sheila Jacobs, ATU-Ozark Campus chancellor; Dr. Aubrey Holt, ATU visiting lecturer of student affairs administration and director of assessment for the ATU Division of Student Affairs; and Pam Cooper, ATU director of annual giving.

Dr. Mary B. Gunter, ATU distinguished professor of educational leadership and professor emeritus of educational leadership, aided in the execution of the program during the 2024-25 academic year. Gunter retired from ATU in June 2023 after a 51-year career in education.

Two graduates of Leadership Tech — Dr. Rob Stevens and Sherry Tinerella — served as lead facilitators for cohort six.
