A total of twenty-one Arkansas Tech University students will compete this evening for the title of Miss Arkansas Tech University and the chance to compete in the Miss Arkansas pageant.

In addition to winning the crown, the 2013 Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship to Tech and several thousand dollars in prizes.

7:22 p.m.– We’ve heard from 14 of the contestants thus far. Lots of great answers out to the onstage question.
7:13 p.m.– It’s time for the onstage question. This phase accounts for 5% of the total score.
7:12 p.m.– Miss Tech 2012 Claire Hodgson and Miss Arkansas 2012 Sloane Roberts are taking the stage.
7:05 p.m.– We’re meeting all 21 Miss Tech contestants.
7:03 p.m.– Dr. Jim Collins is welcoming the audience to the 58th annual Miss Tech pageant.
7:01 p.m.– Q Street Jazz, an ensemble from the Arkansas Tech Department of Music, is performing to start the night.

6:55 p.m.– The lights house lights are flickering, which means it won’t be long now until the competition starts.
