You only have 10 minutes. 10:20 p.m.– Chief McMillian said she proved she was a good choice to save. Katie said she enjoyed the range, and it was beautiful. 10:15 p.m.– The judges decided to save Abigail, and she is taking the stage now. Her song choice is In the Dark by Lights. 10:11 p.m.– Thomas Pennington says it takes a lot of guts to take on a power ballad. He said the judges should take that into consideration. 10:06 p.m.– Carlee is taking the stage and is singing Where Do Broken Hearts Go by Whitney Houston. 10:04 p.m.– Thomas Pennington said Suede killed it. Katie is glad you showed your range. Chief McMillian said has a great fan support. 10:00 p.m.– The final three contestants are Adam, Carlee and Suede. Adam and Carlee advance to the finals. Suede will perform first. His song choice is Avicii’s Wake Me Up. The crowd is rooting him on. 9:58 p.m.– Chief McMillian said it’s horrible that Shannon doesn’t have a record deal. Katie said it was beautiful, but to be sure to enunciate her words. 9:53 p.m.– The next round of eliminations are here. It’s between Shannon and Taylor, and Shannon is moving on. Her performance is Someday, and it is a piece that she’s written herself. 9:48 p.m.– Group two has the audience clapping with their performance of Home from Philip Phillips. 9:46 p.m.– The judges are talking about Lindsey’s performance. Thomas said he was pleased with her choice and knew it was Eric Church. Chief McMillian said there was nothing mean to say about the performance. 9:38 p.m.– Intermission time. See you in ten! 9:37 p.m.– The judges like Emma’s performance. Katie said she felt her performance, and Thomas said he could roll down the sunroof and drive listening to that song. 9:31 p.m.– Emma and Roman are facing off. The fans selected Emma, and she’s taking the stage now. She’s singing Breakeven from The Script. 9:29 p.m.– Katie said Paxton did a great job working through her nerves. Thomas said Paxton’s performance tonight was her favorite of the auditions. 9:26 p.m.– Josh and Paxton are up for the second round of elimination. Paxton is safe and is performing Cups. 9:21 p.m.– Lindsey Triplett is moving on in the competition. He performance is Springsteen by Eric Church. 9:20 p.m.– It’s time for the first round of eliminations. Lindsey and Abigail are up first. 9:15 p.m.– Carlee, Roman, Josh, Abigail and Shannon are performing in the first group song. Their choice Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons. 9:13 p.m.– Joe Means is introducing the judges. Thomas Pennington says the contestants need to be perfect, excited and get the crowd involved. Katie Ferren says the winner needs to be themselves. Chief McMillian said he wants the winner to get their crowd off their feet. 9:12 p.m.– Chantel Moseby and Joe Means are welcoming everyone to the competition. 9:11 p.m.– Lots of special guests in the audience tonight including Amy Pennington, Susie Nicholson and Mrs. Jill Brown. 9:04 p.m.– The hose lights just flickered, which means Tech Idol will start soon. 8:50 p.m.– It won’t be long now! 8:39 p.m.– The auditorium is filling up with students excited for #TechIdol13.
