Local Support for New Ag Education Building Continues

Conway County Farm Bureau has pledged $20,000 in support of the construction of a new agricultural education building at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.

Scott McKennon, secretary and treasurer for Conway County Farm Bureau, presented a check to Jason Geiken, ATU vice president for advancement and executive director of the ATU Foundation, during a gathering at the Farm Bureau Insurance location in Morrilton on Wednesday, July 17.

The new ATU agricultural education building will house welding equipment, a tool storage area, classroom space, laboratory space and other equipment. It will be located on the Tech Farm, adjacent to the ATU Greenhouses and the Dr. James “Jim” Collins Agriculture Classroom.
