Mayor Randy Horton proclaimed Saturday, June 18, 2016, as Arkansas Tech University Recreation and Park Administration Day in the City of Russellville in recognition of the academic program’s 50th anniversary.
The proclamation took place during a dinner at L.V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club in Russellville.
Horton (center, holding proclamation) was joined by members of the committee that planned the anniversary activities (from left): Carol Mobley, Hollie Berdeja, Dr. Theresa Herrick, Christy Austin, Dr. Cathi McMahan, Amanda Smith, Lauren Marshall, Sam Taylor, Adrianne Johnson and Matt Spence.
Other events celebrating 50 years of recreation and park administration at Arkansas Tech included a golf tournament, Friday night social and Saturday afternoon picnic.
