McKewen-Dilling Wins Top Prize in Student Competitive

Layton McKewen-Dilling of Stuttgart is the champion of the 18th annual Arkansas Tech University Juried Student Competitive Exhibition.

McKewen-Dilling captured first place with a mixed media on bristol board entitled “Normality.” His artwork was selected best among the 124 entries from 46 ATU students.

Fifty-nine artworks from 32 ATU students were accepted for the show.

Aaron Calvert served as juror for this year’s exhibition. Calvert is an artist and art educator based in Arkansas.

Kris Waid-Jones, ATU assistant professor of art and director of the ATU Norman Hall Art Gallery, served as master of ceremonies for the awards ceremony.
