Jerry Charles Young III, campus ambassador at Arkansas Tech University, will be the guest of honor for a meet and greet reception entitled “Third Time’s a Charmer” from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, in the Hull Building Student Union.
There will be no admission charge for the Aug. 21 reception, which will be open to the public.

Each person who makes a donation or provides Jerry with an item from his Amazon Wish List by Aug. 21 or brings a gift or cash donation to the reception will be entered into a drawing for a puppy play date with Jerry.
“The campus ambassador program operates on private donations,” said Heather Strasner, spirit assistant in the ATU Department of Campus Life. “We are grateful to those who support Jerry through financial donations and other gifts. Each one helps ensure he is prepared to represent ATU at a wide variety of events and appearances throughout the year.”
Jerry was born on Feb. 23 and took office on April 24. He is investing his first weeks on the job growing, receiving his immunizations and participating in training in advance of his first full academic year as campus ambassador.
