Arkansas Tech University will host Military Appreciation Day 2019 in conjunction with its Saturday, Nov. 2, home football game at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field in Russellville.
There will be a pre-game tailgating reception outside the stadium for all veterans, military personnel and their families from noon-2 p.m. under the ATU Office of Veteran Services tent on the Crabaugh Hall lawn.
All individuals attending Party at the Plaza tailgating are invited to stop at the ATU Office of Veteran Services tent for a temporary American flag tattoo and a mini American flag, which will be distributed free of charge while supplies last.
All current military personnel and veterans will receive free admission to the Great American Conference football game between the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm, which will begin at 2 p.m.
Veterans and military personnel will be recognized inside the stadium as part of the game day festivities.
