Arkansas Tech University, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, the EAST Initiative and Acxiom will host a Million Women Mentors-Arkansas event from 1-2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
The free event will take place in ATU’s W.O. Young Building Ballroom, 215 West O Street in Russellville. Participants are asked to register in advance at www.eventbrite.com/e/million-women-mentors-ar-atu-tickets-73997892689.
According to the national organization, Million Women Mentors is “is a movement to spark the interest and confidence of girls and women to pursue and succeed in STEM careers and leadership opportunities through the power of mentoring.”
The Nov. 1 event at ATU will provide attendees with information about the importance of women and girls in STEM and an opportunity to view projects from EAST programs.
