Arkansas Tech University student Cheyanne Moore is in Washington D.C. to take part in the National Education Association Student Leadership conference.
Moore, an elementary education major from Pleasant Plains, is taking part in several workshops during the conference.
“While I am here, I am getting professional development and learning skills that I will use in my classroom when I start teaching,” said Moore. “I will also be involved in a community service project that involves several activities that will benefit children.”
Moore currently serves as president of the National Education Association – Student Program at Arkansas Tech University.
