More than 500 participants and instructors representing 30-plus states attended the 2024 Arkansas River Valley Wildland Fire Academy May 13-24 at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
The academy offered 22 courses and included a variety of exercises for participants on and off campus.
Founded in 1998, the Arkansas River Valley Wildland Fire Academy is a partnership between ATU, the U.S. Forest Service, the Arkansas Department of Forestry and several other federal and state agencies.
