More than 200 Arkansas Tech – Ozark students met with employers recently at a campus career fair. Organizers say during the fair students had the opportunity to meet with 24 different companies.
The students attending the fair say they enjoyed visiting with multiple companies, and they also enjoyed learning what companies were looking for throughout the hiring process.
Brittany Brunson, employability coordinator of Career Pathways Initiative at Arkansas Tech – Ozark said, “We are grateful to all the companies who participated, and we were thrilled with the student turnout. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to meet with local employers, as well as a chance for companies to meet our skilled and outstanding students.”
Tara Johnson, director of Career Pathways, says the event helped students better understand their own skills and strengths. She adds, “Through this fair, we have them thinking about what they bring to the table and how that compares to what employers are looking for.”
