Twenty-two businesses and organizations in Russellville are participating in Paint the Town Green and Gold 2022.
This is the seventh year for Paint the Town Green and Gold, a program that encourages local businesses and organizations to decorate the interior and/or exterior of their places of business in Arkansas Tech themes early in the fall semester in order to welcome ATU students to the community and build school spirit.
Paint the Town Green and Gold is presented by the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Tech University. Arvest and City Corporation are the 2022 sponsors of Paint the Town Green and Gold.
Prizes, including the Paint the Town Green and Gold traveling trophy, will be awarded for overall champion, best indoor display, best first-time entry and Tech pride. Winning entries will be announced during ATU’s first home football game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 10. Kickoff for the ATU Wonder Boys and the East Central University Tigers is set for 6 p.m. at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.
