Paint the Town Green and Gold Draws 35 Entries

Thirty-five businesses and organizations have entered the 2024 Paint the Town Green and Gold community spirit contest presented by the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Tech University.

This is the ninth year for Paint the Town Green and Gold, a program that encourages local businesses and organizations to decorate the interior and/or exterior of their places of business in Arkansas Tech themes at the outset of the fall semester in order to welcome ATU students to the community and build school spirit.

The businesses and organizations participating in the 2024 Paint the Town Green and Gold competition are:

Prizes, including the Paint the Town Green and Gold traveling trophy, will be awarded following the completion of judging. Winners will be recognized on social media and/or through local media outlets.

All businesses and non-profit organizations that enter the 2024 Paint the Town Green and Gold community spirit contest will receive complimentary tailgating space and game tickets when the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys host Oklahoma Baptist University for the football season opener on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium in Russellville. Tailgating will begin at 4 p.m. and kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
