Arkansas Tech student Tiffany Willis Pritchett (top) took Best of Show in the annual “Art and Architecture: Student Exhibition.”
Pritchett, is a junior fine arts major, and she wins a $100 prize for her efforts.
Emily Grant (middle) and Jasmine Johnson (bottom) were also recognized as honorable mention winners.
The annual competition is a cooperative effort between the Department of Art and the Arkansas Tech Museum. Students entering the competition are enrolled in a watercolor class at Arkansas Tech, and they are asked to paint their depiction of a campus building in watercolor.
Each year a historic building on the Arkansas Tech campus is the featured building in the exhibit, and this year the McEver Building will be the featured facility.
The exhibit will open to the public beginning Thursday, March 15, from 4-6 p.m., and several of the paintings will be available for purchase during this time.
The exhibit will be on display through April 25. The Tech Museum is located in the Techionery, and museum hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
