The Arkansas Tech University website has a new look. The Office of University Relations launched a redesigned version of www.atu.edu on Wednesday morning.
The redesigned site features a video tour of campus, larger photographs and streamlined access to information for future students.
The Office of University Relations began working to redesign the website after visiting with campus personnel and researching other college and university websites.
Assistant to the President for University Relations Susie Nicholson says, “We discovered there were key changes we needed to make in order to make our website a more effective tool for future students, current students and faculty members at Arkansas Tech.”
Nicholson says the Office of University Relations will continue revising the Arkansas Tech website. She adds, “This is a great first step to updating our website, and we believe we’ll see positive results from the change. Over the course of the next few months, we’re going to monitor the updates and make additional changes as they’re needed.”
Arkansas Tech website traffic has grown significantly in recent years, and currently, about 46,000 visitors log on www.atu.edu each week.
“The numbers show that many people learn about Arkansas Tech University through our website,” says Nicholson. “We want their experience on our website to reflect the positive experience we work so diligently to achieve during a face-to-face interaction, and we believe these changes are one way to accomplish that.”
