Deadline to register is Jan. 31. “All high school seniors in the state of Arkansas and surrounding areas will want to attend Time-Out for Tech,” said Shauna Donnell, assistant vice president for enrollment management at Arkansas Tech. “Arkansas Tech has grown its enrollment by 169 percent since 1997 because we offer a wide breadth of programs on a dynamic campus while maintaining the personal and friendly atmosphere that we are known for. Time-Out for Tech provides high school seniors with a chance to experience those attributes for themselves.” Time-Out for Tech check-in will start at 8:30 a.m., and the program will begin with a 9:30 a.m. opening session at Tucker Coliseum. There will be a drawing during the opening session for three tuition scholarships to Arkansas Tech for the fall 2014 semester. Individuals must be present to win. Following the opening session, high school seniors and their families will have an opportunity to meet with faculty from the academic program that interests them the most. Time-Out for Tech will also offer residence hall tours, a chance to meet with representatives from student organization and sessions with staff members from such campus entities as financial aid, athletics and Greek life. All Time-Out for Tech participants will receive a free T-shirt and a photo opportunity with campus ambassador Jerry the Bulldog.
