As of 7:05 p.m. Monday, May 13, all power outage issues at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville have been resolved and the campus is on track to resume standard operations in all facilities.
Several buildings at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville were closed beginning at 2 p.m. and continuing through the end of the day on Monday, May 13, while personnel from Entergy and the ATU Office of Facilities Management worked to restore full electrical power to campus.
Entergy and ATU worked together on Saturday, May 11, to identify and implement a temporary solution that allowed for ATU’s third and final commencement ceremony of the day to take place after it was delayed due to a power outage.
The process of permanently fixing the issue required power to be turned off to all facilities north of O Street on the ATU campus in Russellville from 2 p.m. through the end of the business day on Monday, May 13.
Personnel assigned to the buildings affected by the power shutdown remained available virtually through e-mail for the remainder of Monday, May 13, for any student or other individual seeking assistance.
