Arkansas Tech University hosted an open house at Rothwell Hall Thursday afternoon. The open house was designed to introduce the state-of-the-art facility to faculty, staff and members of the River Valley community.
During the open house, visitors were able to tour the facility and visit with Arkansas Tech faculty and staff.
Rothwell Hall is named in honor of Arkansas Tech alumni Ben and Terry Rothwell, and they received special recognition during the open house.
Dr. Robert C. Brown, president of Arkansas Tech University, said Ben and Terry Rothwell “are among the most loyal and ardent supporters of Arkansas Tech University.”
Dr. Brown added, “They have given their time, their spirit and their substance to this institution. They have done so out of love for their alma mater and because they have a genuine and abiding belief in the power of higher education.”
The four-story, 60,000-square foot facility is home to the Arkansas Tech College of Business, the Arkansas Tech Academic Advising Center and the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
Rothwell Hall is the newest building on the Arkansas Tech campus, and the first classes were held in the facility last week. Read more about Rothwell Hall.
