Senior art students at Arkansas Tech had the opportunity to showcase their art for family and friends during the opening reception for the Senior Art Exhibition last Saturday.
Many of the seniors attended the opening reception to discuss their work with those in attendance.
Work from 17 seniors makes up this year’s exhibition, and the exhibit will be on display through Friday, May 7. The show is the final exhibit of the semester at the Norman Hall Art Gallery.
In addition to creating pieces for the show, the students also had to establish career goals, create a cover letter and draft an artist statement. David Mudrinich, show coordinator, says the process helps the students make final preparations as they prepare to graduate and transition to an art career.
Gallery hours are from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, visit the gallery website.
