Senior art students at Arkansas Tech will showcase their artistic talent for family and friends during the annual Senior Art Exhibition.
The works of 17 seniors will be on display during the show, and the opening reception is scheduled for Saturday in the Norman Hall Art Gallery.
There will be an opening reception Saturday evening beginning at 6 p.m., and many of the seniors participating in the exhibition will be on hand to discuss their work with those attending the reception.
In addition to creating pieces for the show, the students also establish career goals, create a cover letter and draft an artist statement. David Mudrinich, show coordinator, says the process helps the students make final preparations as they prepare to graduate and transition to an art career.
The exhibit will be on display through Friday, May 7, and gallery hours are from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, visit the gallery website.
