Members of the Arkansas Tech University community will observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025 with a silent march on Monday, Jan. 20.
The march will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Hindsman Tower and end at Doc Bryan Student Services Center. Light refreshments will be served in the Doc Bryan Rotunda at the conclusion of the march.
The ATU Office of Multicultural Student Services and the ATU Black Student Association are among the sponsors of the event.
The ATU campuses in Russellville and Ozark will be closed for the holiday, which recognizes the 96th anniversary of King’s birth. A federal holiday scheduled to coincide with his birthday has been observed since 1986.
