A total of 14 students will compete for the title of Miss Tech on Friday. In addition to watching the crowning of the 2010 Miss Tech, those attending the pageant will enjoy special entertainment provided by several guests.
Miss Arkansas 2009 Sarah Slocum will be a featured performer at the pageant on Friday. Slocum finished in the top 15 at the Miss America Pageant in January.
Mrs. Arkansas 2009 Nicole Hughes Knapp will also be in attendance. Knapp is a Tech graduate and won the Miss Tech title in 2001.
Additionally, Miss Tech 2009 Naomi Shure will provide entertainment throughout the pageant. Shure is also Miss Lake Dardanelle 2010 and will compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant this summer.
Tech student Hannah Williamson will also perform during Miss Tech. Williamson is the reigning Miss Arkansas Valley, and she will sing during the pageant.
Miss South Arkansas 2010 Lindsey Lee will present a tap dance routine. Lee was a top 10 finalist at Miss Arkansas last summer.
The Arkansas Tech Jazz II, under the direction of Dr. Tim Howe, will also perform during the pageant.
