A variety of spring plants will be available for purchase next month when the Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture hosts the 33rd annual spring plant sale on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16.
The sale will run from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days, and the sale will take place at the Arkansas Tech Greenhouses on the north side of the main campus in Russellville.
Students studying agriculture are responsible for growing and caring for the plants that will be available for purchase during the sale, and Dr. Jim Collins, professor of horticulture, will oversee the sale.
Some of the items available include hanging baskets, tomato plants, azaleas, ferns, geraniums and pepper plants.
Funds raised from the sale will be used to purchase additional plants and greenhouse supplies.
