Arkansas Tech University students learned more leadership and the political process during a program on Wednesday.
Arkansas Tech alumnus John Burris spoke to students as part of the Lunch with a Leader series.
During his time in the Arkansas legislature, Burris was the youngest serving member of the Arkansas General Assembly and the youngest minority leader in the history of the state.
While on campus, he discussed his philosophy of service and ways he hopes to help those in the sate.
Currently, he serves as political director for U.S. Senator Tom Cotton.
Lunch with a Leader is a program sponsored by the Office of Campus Life.
