Students at Arkansas Tech had the chance to learn more about various services available to students, as the Office of Student Success and Retention hosted the first Student Resource Fair today.
The Office of Student Success and Retention said the idea for a resource fair came about as a way to better meet the needs of Arkansas Tech students.
Organizers said there was a “good turnout,” and several students who attended the fair commented they learned about services they did not know Tech offered.
Jaime Martin, coordinator of orientation, added, “I am grateful to the representatives for taking the time to meet with students. It was very valuable to those students who attended.”
The following offices had representatives on hand to meet with students during the resource fair:
- International and Multicultural Student Services
- Financial Aid
- Bridge to Excellence
- Tutoring Center
- Norman Career Services
- Academic Affairs
- University Testing & Disability Services
- Health and Wellness Center
- Counseling Center
- Residential Life
- ROTC
- Intramurals
- Student Accounts
Organizers say they plan to offer similar fairs for students in the future. See photos from today’s fair.
