Game One: Tech 11, SAU 4 Arkansas Tech erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning and went on to an 11-4 triumph on Friday’s opener. Whitney Robinson went 1-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in. Chelsea Reeves went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Victoria Huie drove in two runs. Huie (6-6) was the winning pitcher. She was charged with four runs, all of which were unearned, on three hits over six innings. SAU starting pitcher Hanna Gill (5-2) was tagged with the loss. She allowed 10 runs, three of which were earned, on seven hits over three innings. There were seven errors in the game — four by SAU and three by Tech. Game Two: Tech 2, SAU 0 Courtney Colunga’s two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning broke a scoreless tie and propelled Arkansas Tech to a 2-0 victory over Southern Arkansas in the nightcap. Sydnee Clark (6-5) finished a complete-game shutout victory by retiring the Lady Muleriders in order in the top of the seventh inning. Clark allowed four hits and struck out three. SAU starting pitcher Shelby Miller (2-2) took the loss. She allowed two runs on six hits over six innings.]]>
