Arkansas Tech University Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate and Main Street Russellville will host a student-owned business market Friday, Dec. 1, from 6-9 p.m. at the Russellville Train Depot in Russellville Downtown.
The market will coincide with Main Street Russellville’s Holiday Glow Art Walk event. Those visiting the student-owned business market will learn about goods and services offered by Dreami Tea Club, Stargirl Jewelry Company, Crayco, Loose Threads, Singulivity, Cozy Threads Company, Elizabeth Knox Art, Jewelry by Rae, Simply Autumn, Abby Makes Stuff, Sunny Made Studio and EJ Sweet Shop.
“For many of these students, this event will be their first time advertising and selling their products and services in a market setting,” said Olivia Johnson, president of ATU FBLA Collegiate. “The market allows them to gain experience on personal selling, display design and customer service. We hope that members of the community will come to support these students, as well as enjoy the festivities of the Holiday Glow Art Walk.”
ATU FBLA Collegiate will sell hot chocolate during the event. All revenue from the hot chocolate sale will be donated to River Valley Food 4 Kids.
Admission to the market will be free and open to the public.
