Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus will host a “tax-free weekend” Saturday, Aug. 4, and Sunday, Aug. 5, in conjunction with the sales tax holiday across the state.
During the 48-hour period, sales tax is not collected on school supplies, school art supplies, school instructional materials, clothing and footwear less than $100 per item and clothing accessories less than $50.
Mitzi Reano, manager of the Arkansas Tech-Ozark bookstore, said customers will receive an 8.5 percent discount on textbooks, school supplies, backpacks and clothing.
Bookstore hours are 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, and 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
