Tech Extends Winning Streak to Six

The Golden Suns (15-5) made 53 kills and 11 errors in 119 total attack attempts as they won their sixth consecutive match. Tech won by scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-17.

Kaci Jackson had a double-double of 15 kills and 12 digs for Arkansas Tech, while Stephanie Channell made 12 kills. Morgan McKellar (15 digs) and Taylor Brown (11 digs) also reached double figures in digs for the Golden Suns.

Tech’s Sierra Nighswonger recorded 23 assists and Amber Cerrillos had 21 assists.

Williams Baptist (12-8) was led by Kallie Ralston, who finished with 14 kills and nine digs.

The Golden Suns will return to action on Friday, Oct. 5, with a pair of non-conference matches at the Peggy Martin Challenge in Warrensburg, Mo. Tech will face Pittsburg State at 3 p.m. and Central Missouri at 7 p.m.
