Arkansas Tech students will be able to take the first step towards becoming the 2010 Arkansas Tech Idol this evening.
The Residence Hall Association will host the first round of auditions for the singing competition tonight at 9 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall. The annual competition is one of several activities taking place during the week leading up to Homecoming on the Arkansas Tech campus.
Those students wishing to audition must have their valid Tech identification card in order to participate. Organizers say students wishing to audition may perform this evening with background music or an instrument, but they will only be judged on their vocal performance
From tonight’s auditions, a slate of 12 performers will be selected to compete during the competition. The first round of Tech Idol is taking place on Tuesday, October 12, and a new Tech Idol will be crowned on Wednesday, October 13.
