Twelve Arkansas Tech University students will compete for the title of 2013 Tech Idol as part of Homecoming 2013 festivities. The annual event is hosted by the Residence Hall Association, and the preliminary competition is scheduled for Tuesday evening. On Thursday, the field will be narrowed, and the finalists will compete for the title and a cash prize. Both rounds of competition are slated for 9 p.m. in the Witherspoon Building Auditorium. Those unable to attend the competition will be able to stay up-to-date through a live blog on ArkansasTechNews.com. The students competing include:
