Entering freshmen at Arkansas Tech will have another opportunity to learn more about the campus they will call home for the next four years this Thursday by attending a TECH Knowledge session.
Thursday’s session is the fourth of six orientation sessions being offered for new students this summer.
Those attending the orientation session are divided into groups, and each group is led by a team of upperclassmen who have been trained to serve as orientation leaders.
During the sessions, the students will learn about some of the services provided on the Tech campus. Students will also learn about ways to become involved on the campus and about the more than 100 student organizations available for students.
Jaime Martin, coordinator of orientation, says she hopes students participating in the orientation sessions connect with upperclassmen and feel more comfortable arriving on campus in the fall.
There are six sessions scheduled throughout the summer for those wishing to attend. See the session schedule.
Each TECH Knowledge session costs $25, and the fee includes an orientation t-shirt, meals and orientation materials. The cost also includes admission to a separate orientation session for parents.
